I. Content Reporting

The Abolitionist Sanctuary founded AbolitionistSanctuary.org as a private social learning community, where all users on the platform are empowered to report content that they believe violates the following rules. Together, we take shared responsibility for maintaining a safe and respectful environment by reporting the following infractions.

  1. Aggressive: Hostile, belligerent, abusive, threatening, intimidating, or antagonistic combativeness.
  2. Civic Interference: Manipulates or interferes with an election or other civic activities, or misleads others about when, where, or how to engage in an election or civic process.
  3. Discrimination: Unjust or prejudicial treatment based on the protections listed in the anti-discrimination policy.
  4. Exploitation: Taking advantage, preying on, or manipulating children or vulnerable adults.
  5. Harassment: Harrying, pestering, intimidating, stalking, or bullying words or behavior.
  6. Harm: Promoting or encouraging injury to self or others.
  7. Hate: Language or behavior that promotes violence or hatred against any person or groups listed in the anti-discrimination policy.
  8. Illegal Activity: Engaging in unlawful or illegal behavior that violates local, state, federal, or international laws.
  9. Inappropriate: Contains mature or sensitive content unsuitable for a professional community.
  10. Intellectual Property Violation: Represents another person’s words, ideas, or work as one’s own, or violates copyright or trademarks.
  11. Impersonation: Poses as an individual or group to impersonate, mislead, confuse, or deceive others.
  12. Misinformation: Contains misleading or false information.
  13. Offensive: Contains abusive or derogatory content.
  14. Privacy Violation: Publishes or posts other people’s private information (such as home phone number and address) without their express authorization and permission.
  15. Sensitive: Excessively violent or cruel, or nudity or sexual activity.
  16. Spam: Irrelevant, indiscriminate, or inappropriate communication to recipients.
  17. Suspicious: Contains fake content or potential malware.

II. Violations

Abolitionist Sanctuary retains the right to remove any communication and suspend or expel users whose content or behavior violates the moderation categories.

III. Appeals & Restorative Justice

Abolitionist Sanctuary allows all suspended or expelled users to appeal the decision and apply to the restorative justice program by sending a formal request to support@abolitionistsanctuary.org. If readmitted, the Abolitionist Sanctuary will provide educational counseling and programmatic support to help the user acknowledge the impact of the harm caused, to express sincere remorse, and to take meaningful steps toward resorting oneself back into the community. This program will not be made available in the contexts of severe violations or if the user has a history of violating the community standards.
